Rod Schatz, M.Sc. | CEO / Co-founder
Rod is a technology executive with over 20 years of experience where he works with organizations by transforming them into digital organizations by leveraging technology and in particular data in creative and innovative ways. Rod firmly believes that we are at the dawn of a new era where technology can solve many of the world’s biggest and most difficult problems.
Rod is known for his ability to deliver or enhance multi-million-dollar enterprise information systems, as well as his ability to introduce new procedures to facilitate the obtainment of corporate goals and operational objectives. Rod is known for his practical and pragmatic approaches to business value proposition design and execution. SafeContact is Rod’s fourth high technology entrepreneurial venture involving industry disruption.
Rod has served on several Boards with the most notable being the Northern Alberta Business Incubator (NABI) where he has served as the Vice-Chair and Chair of the Operations sub-committee.
Rod holds a Master’s of Science degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) from the University of Alberta. In 2016, Rod co-authored a book on how technology is altering business models in today’s digital era.
Kevin Maloney, D.C. | V.P. Clinical and Business Development / Co-founder
Dr. Maloney studied biological sciences at University of Alberta before attending Palmer College of Chiropractic (West) in Santa Clara, CA. Dr. Maloney was named to the 1997 “Who’s Who of American Colleges and Universities Almanac” for the combination of high academic honors, varsity sports and student leadership.
Dr. Maloney is the founder and clinic director of a multi-disciplinary injury rehab clinic that has grown to employ 17 staff. Dr. Maloney has served his professional association on both the WCB Contract Negotiation committee and the Marketing and Branding committee.
Dr. Maloney served on the Advisory Board for Deltabalance assisting with both product design and university-based research projects related to their workplace ergonomics products. Dr. Maloney served as a Director and Board Chairman for Line of Fire Protective Armor and was responsible for raising over $3 million in investment capital. As a volunteer, Dr. Maloney has served as Medical Director for large international professional sporting events and has been a head and assistant coach with several minor sports teams.
Cliff Cote CTO / Co-founder
Cliff has secured a Technical Architect / Network engineer design project with one of Alberta’s largest AXIA Supernet customers, to design and implement their next generation network providing Internet access and VPLS services to customers from Edmonton to Wood Buffalo National Park.
Cliff has worked with startup companies in the software engineering and network engineer’s roles, to design and implement secured data transmission, storage and collection from remote field enabled devices and tablets.
Cliff is trained in digital electronics with an honors diploma in computer systems technology from the Toronto School of Business, Toronto, Ontario. Cliff holds a membership in the TOGAF opengroup.org consortium. Cliff has a MCP status from Microsoft as a certified professional.
